FERRUM D Gentile bietet Ihnen die Möglichkeit das alte Schmiedehandwerk oder auch moderne maschinelle Bearbeitung, entweder im Einzelunterricht oder in Kleingruppen (max. 4 Teilnehmer*Innen) zu erlernen..

Schmieden Sie Ihr eigenes Kochmesser, Jagdmesser oder Klappmesser aus Damaszenerstahl.
Fertigen Sie in authentischer Arbeit ein komplettes Samuraischwert (Katana) oder auch ein Europäisches Schwert.

Kurse finden von Mittwoch bis Sonntag, jeweils von 09:30 bis ca. 17:00 statt.

Je nach Thema ist der Unterricht im Individualrahmen (Einzelperson od. Kleingruppe mit max. 4 Teilnehmer*Innen).

Die Kurskosten beinhalten das benötigte Material (exkl. div. exot. Hölzer, Horn & spezielle Materialien sowie Edelmetall) sowie die Schutzausrüstung für die Dauer des Kurses.

Bladesmithing Courses

FERRUM D Gentile can offer you to share the fire of the forge and introduce you to the age old craft of making one of mankind's most utilized tools - the knife. Learn to make your own patternwelded steel ("Damascus Steel"). Make a fine gentleman's folding knife. Craft your most precious chef's knife.
My courses are focus on quality and thus I take a max. of four participants for one course.
Or is it something else you want to make? Welding? Making precision parts on a lathe or milling machine? Jewelry? Or how about a Samurai Sword (Katana) or a Viking Blade?

Course Offerings

Schedule & Info

Courses are available from Wednesday to Sunday and run between 09:30am and 5:00pm.

Depending on the desired topic the classes can be held on an individual basis (single person or small group with max. 4 participants).

The cost for the class include all basic Materials (excl. various exotic Hardwoods, Horn & special Materials as well as precious Metals) and the protective equipment for the duration of the class.
